5 Moments you don’t want to skip on your Wedding Day

Your wedding day is such a special day with so many amazing moments you want to be able to remember. It is a day you plan down to almost every minute of the day to make sure you can fit everything in and everything flows well together. With all the hours spent planning and money spent, you truly want to be able to enjoy your day and soak up all of the amazing moments. Below I created a list of 5 moments you don’t want to skip over on your wedding day.

  1. First look with your dad: I 100% promise you will not regret having a first look with your dad. I did a first look with my dad on my wedding day and it was so special and everything I imagined it would be. It was a time for both of us to process the significance of the day, get happy tears out before walking down the aisle, get beautiful pictures, and have a special moment together before he walks me down the aisle. When I am able to witness the first look with a bride and her father, I get all emotional - it is just so sweet and such a special moment for a father and daughter.

  2. A few minutes alone with your spouse right after the ceremony: Your wedding day goes by so fast. It is important to take a moment to sit down and reflect with your spouse (even if it is not right after the ceremony). You will both be bouncing around with family, friends, getting pictures, visiting, first dances, etc. It is good to take a moment just the two of you to enjoy each other’s company without interruptions.

  3. Having fun on the dance floor: It is easy to get busy visiting, taking pictures, eating, and all the things and forget to just have fun and let loose on the dance floor. I love to dance, and I told everyone on my wedding day; “if you are looking for me I will be on the dance floor”. It is your day, so enjoy it! I had the best time at my wedding and loved dancing with everyone! If you are wanting to get the party started just grab someone and pull them up to the dance floor. They can’t say no to the bride on her wedding day! :)

  4. Private last dance of the night as husband and wife: I love the first dance each couple shares as husband and wife. It is so special and you can feel the love the couple shares for each other. All the love and emotion from the first dance DOUBLES during the private last dance the couple shares. I can’t put into words how sweet and special the private last dance is. Seeing the comparison of the first dance pictures and the last dance dance pictures, it is just magical. Highly recommend a private last dance.

  5. Fun Exit: Having a fun exit at the end of the night is so much fun. You can do so many different things - from sparklers, bubbles, glow sticks, pom poms, and so much more. It is a great way to mark the end of a great day and you get amazing pictures. Based on the package you booked with your photographer - if their coverage ends before the end of your reception, you can do a “mock” send off. It would be the same as the normal send off, it would just be earlier and instead of your guests leaving after they would head back to the reception to have more fun.
